Tasting Notes
Appearance: Deep amber copper color
Nose: This skillfully crafted cognac is a blend of several crus with a perfect balance between Fins Bois, Grande and Petite Champagnes variety of grapes.
Peach: Imagine the lusciousness of a ripe peach tickling your nose.
Toasted almonds: Nutty notes that bring out a sweet, caramel flavor
Jasmine: Jasmine aroma is produced from the process of distillation that gives it fruity and musky notes in this V.S.O.P. variety.
Body: soft dry-yet-fruity medium body
Alcohol by Volume: 40% (ABV%)
Sidecar
Ingredients:
2 parts Courvoisier® VSOP Exclusif Cognac
1/2 part Lemon Juice
1/5 part Simple Syrup
Lemon Twist
Method:
Place all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake hard until the cocktail shaker is cold. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with lemon twist.
Courvoisier Old-Fashioned
Ingredients:
1 sugar cube
Orange Zest
3 dashes Bitters
2 parts Courvoisier® VSOP Exclusif Cognac
Method:
Soak the sugar in the bitters and add to a rocks glass with the orange zest. Add the Courvoisier® Cognac and a cube of ice. Stir slowly until the ice is almost melted, then add another touch of Courvoisier® Cognac and ice cube repeating the process until the sugar is fully dissolved and all ingredients are well mixed. Fill the glass with fresh ice and serve.
