Carpano Dry
Carpano Dry is the newest vermouth produced at the renowned Distillerie Branca in Italy, producing vermouth since 1786. This recipe is still honored to this day only utilizing technology that will help preserve the prize-winning flavor. The use of high quality raw materials helps maintain a vermouth that is an excellent companion to your cocktails or by itself on the rocks. Tasting Notes
Nose: Notes of dried, savory herbs like wormwood and herbs native to Crete, slightly fruity
Mouth: Light, with a nice bitterness and notes of absinthe. Similar to a brut
Finish: Slightly citric finish; light, smooth and satisfying
Alcohol by Volume (ABV%): 18%
Chrysanthemum
Ingredients:
2 oz. Carpano Dry
1 oz. Bénédictine
3 dashes absinthe
Orange twist garnish
Method:
Stir ingredients with ice in a mixing glass until frosted. Strain into a chilled glass and garnish with an orange twist.
Gibson
Ingredients:
2.5 oz Hendrick’s Gin or Belvedere Vodka
0.5 oz Carpano Dry
Whole cocktail onion, for garnish
Method:
Add ingredients to a cocktail shaker and fill with ice. Stir well, and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a whole cocktail onion.
