The rum is matured in Jack Daniel’s whiskey barrels utilizing the solera method for up to 30 years, where it develops its characteristic caramel-like flavor. The sugarcane is handpicked to avoid spoiling flavors and proving only top-notch sugar cane to produce this smokey, ultra-premium Panamanian aged rum. Centuria was created to celebrate the 100th year celebration of the Varela family estate.
Tasting Notes
Nose: The sweet aroma of vanilla, spice, oak, and dark fruit with the smokey notes of the Jack Daniels barrels.
Mouth: Delightfully complex and sweet, with notes of caramel, chocolate and toffee
Finish: Long, sweet, caramel-like with a soft and velvety finish only possible with ultra-premium rums
