Glenfiddich 12 Year
Glenfiddich 12 Year-Old Single Malt Whisky has been the family’s signature expression since 1887. For more than a century, Glenfiddich has produced a whisky with unique freshness and fruitiness that make it a classic and a benchmark for Speyside style whisky. Glenfiddich is matured in American oak and European oak sherry casks for a minimum of 12 years. The sherry casks bring out sweet and subtle flavors in the whisky that complement the whisky’s fruity profile.
Tasting Notes
Color: Golden
Nose: Pear notes are the most distinctive with other fruit aromas that are well-balanced and not overpowering.
Taste: Butterscotch, cream, malt and the subtleness of the oak casks come through as sweet, fruit notes develop on the tongue.
Finish: Long, smooth and mellow finish that is gentle on the tongue.
Alcohol by volume (ABV%): 40%
Downtown Glenfiddich Sour
Ingredients:
1.75 oz. Glenfiddich 12 Year Old
1 egg white
0.75 oz. sugar syrup
0.75 oz.lime juice
Angostura bitters
Method:
Add the Glenfiddich, egg white, sugar syrup and lime juice into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake generously until well-mixed. Pour into a martini glass and spray Angostura bitters to finish.
Speyside Punch
Ingredients:
1.5 oz. Glenfiddich 12 Year Old
0.5 oz. extract of white elderflowers/elderflower liqueur
1.75 oz sparkling water
Slices of green apple and fresh cucumber wheels
Method:
Add the Glenfiddich, elderflower extract and sparkling water into a bowl or pitcher.
Garnish with the slices of apple and cucumber. Enjoy it both straight or mixed into your favorite cocktail.
